Established
A governing body built for the academy model
Founded in 2017, BCSAA exists to fill a specific gap: academy-based youth soccer needed a governing framework designed around professional coaching, licensed programs and long-term player development.
Everything we do serves two purposes: governing the academies that make up our league, and opening academy-level soccer to every child who wants it.

Academy Super League
The ASL is Western Canada's premier youth academy soccer league. Twelve age groups, boys and girls, a September-to-March season, and fixtures at facilities across Vancouver and the Lower Mainland — all played between licensed academies operating to a single shared standard.

Two purposes
What everything we do is for
Academy soccer for every player
We give every child access to academy-level coaching, training and real games — including those who cannot afford professional coaching, or who simply want more than the volunteer level.
Governing soccer academies
We licence and regulate member academies, set the safeguarding and coaching standards they must meet, and run the competitive season that brings them together.
Register your child to play
You don't need an academy place. BCSAA forms U6–U17 teams, provides coaches, fields and kit, and enters them into the ASL. Weekly training and Sunday games — $200 for the season, collected by e-transfer after we confirm a place.

Vulnerable sector screening for every adult. Respect in Sport certification. The Rule of Two. A mandatory concussion and return-to-play protocol. An Emergency Action Plan at every venue. A named SafeSport Officer any player, parent or coach can reach directly.

Run an academy? Looking for a place for your child to play?
Families register their child directly with BCSAA — no academy membership needed. Academies apply to BCSAA for a licence to join the league as member organizations.
