We licence and regulate member academies, set the safeguarding and coaching standards they must meet, and run the competitive season that brings them together.

What a licensed academy must meet
Qualified coaching staff
- Qualifications appropriate to the age group led
- Current Respect in Sport certification
Screening of all personnel
- Criminal Record Check with vulnerable sector screening for every adult in a position of trust
Liability insurance
- General liability insurance covering training and match activity
Emergency preparedness
- A written Emergency Action Plan per venue
- Accessible first aid and identified responders

Application
How an academy becomes a member

Enquiry
Get in touch with a short description of your academy: where you train, the age groups you run, how many teams you would want to enter and who coaches them.

Standards review
We review your coaching qualifications, screening records, insurance and venue arrangements against the association’s membership standards.

Admission
Successful applicants are admitted as members under the Bylaws and accept the Constitution, Bylaws, competition rules and SafeSport Policy in writing.

Team entry
Your academy enters teams into the appropriate Academy Super League divisions for the coming September-to-March season.
