The Constitution
Three parts, nine purposes
The constitution is the shortest of our documents and the most important. It fixes the name of the society and the purposes it exists to pursue — and those purposes can only be changed by special resolution of the members.
Part 1 — Name
Establishes the legal name of the society as BC Soccer Academies Association.
Part 2 — Purposes
Sets out the nine purposes of the association, from governing academy-based youth soccer to enforcing SafeSport standards and advocating for accessible programming.
Part 3 — Society provisions
Confirms the association’s status and the statutory provisions that apply to it as a BC society.

Adopted 23 October 2025. Binding on every member academy, coach, official and volunteer operating under BCSAA sanction.

Accountability
How decisions are controlled
Financial oversight
The board is responsible for the financial affairs of the association. The bylaws govern borrowing, the appointment of an auditor, and the keeping of accurate accounting records available to members.
Discipline and appeals
Members are subject to a documented discipline process. Written notice of the allegation and a fair opportunity to respond are required before any suspension or expulsion is decided.
Member voice
Members exercise control through general meetings. Notice, quorum and voting requirements are fixed by the bylaws so decisions cannot be taken without proper member participation.
Conflict of interest
Directors must disclose any material interest in a matter before the board and withdraw from the decision where the bylaws require it.

Co-founder of BCSAA and architect of the Academy Super League. Araz leads governance, league operations and serves as the association’s designated SafeSport Officer.
Rem Dinga
Director & Founding Member
Co-founder of BCSAA. Rem leads academy relations and competition standards, working directly with member programs across the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley.
