Empire Fields at Hastings Park is the Academy Super League’s principal home. Its artificial surfaces and floodlighting allow the league to run a full September-to-March season through the wet Pacific Northwest winter, when natural grass fields across the region are closed or unplayable.

Its location on the east side of Vancouver puts it within reasonable travel distance of academies across the city, Burnaby and the Tri-Cities, which keeps weekend travel burdens on families manageable.

Empire Fields is a City of Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation facility. Access is subject to permit allocation.

Standards

What a venue must have before we play there

A fixture is not sanctioned until the host academy can show all four.

Emergency Action Plan on file

A written, venue-specific plan covering emergency access routes, the nearest hospital and the identified responder on site.

First aid at every session

A stocked and accessible first aid kit at every training session and every fixture, with personnel who know where it is.

Confirmed permit or booking

Fixtures are only scheduled at facilities the host academy holds a valid permit or booking for, for the full duration of the match.

Safe access and parking

Clear pedestrian access from parking to the field, and a designated area for parents and spectators away from the field of play.
